Scholars make their own video material, edit and mix it live on the ‘ScratchConsole'.

ScratchWorx already started in 2002. In this pilot a prototype was made and used successfully in an educational environment.

Since then ScratchWorx has been completely redesigned and with two new consoles it has developed into an outstanding new media VJ/DJ tool for schools.

ScratchWorx is an innovative way for expression based art art and culture education.

Based on a self chosen theme pupils (age group 12-17 years) pupls can make video, photo ans sound fragments in their own environment (outside school). They can use this material and mix it live on the ScratchConsole. During a ScratchParty they give a performance for their fellow pupils, fiends and/or relatives.

ScratchWorx can be used in schools, at museums or elsewhere. Waag Society gives yound people with ScratchWorx the possibility for expression of their own identity.  Waag Society also tries with ScratchWorx to improve digitale, visual and interactive skills and to stimulate cooperation within groups.
