This program aims to stimulate collaboration, help to scale successful initiatives and add to the Dutch innovation climate regarding the use of creative technology for educational purposes.Innovate – research and development of new educational systemsCreative Learning Lab conducts practice-based research regarding the possibilities of creative technology for children and the way in which they learn and express themselves. Creative Learning Lab builds on the insights of practical experience, latest technological developments, and educational theories. During the development of pilots and prototypes, we work together closely with the educational and cultural field.Why Creative Learning Lab?In 2001, the Waag Society was appointed as “centre of expertise” for cultural subjects and ICT by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. This role offered the opportunity to show schools what role creativity and technology can play within educational contexts. There is still a great need for this today: when looking at practical situations, schools are still not working enough with creative technology. But when they see what the potential and what the results can be, they are often very interested. Waag Society is now very active in the educational field, creating the need for a new educational platform to allocate all educational projects to.
